Introducing Knapp Family Soap Co!

Image
Guess what?! We are starting to make soap so that YOU can have high quality, natural goat milk soaps from pure ingredients for soft and healthier skin! A few months ago we ordered 4 goat milk soap bars online. A bar for him, a bar for her, a bar for our 2 little girls, and a bar for Molly, our dog, and we all loved it. For the little girls it was especially good. We had been using a very gentle soap for them that was probably better for babies or small kids, and not strong enough to fight bacteria and germs from daycare carried home by a 6 and 8 year old  playing in dirt, and being around other sick kids. As a result of not using the right soap for the girls, they probably got sick one too many times, and had some skin issues. Our 6 year old (Punkin), had a rash that we'd been trying to fight for weeks. We'd used creams and oils and anything we could think of, and we were just about to get a prescription for an antifungal cream when the soap came in the mail. And I'...

Prioritizing Your Day with Sea Shells

Image
Sea shells: Have You Heard the Story?     Legend says there was a man, walking on the beach, picking up seashells. Of course, most of them are broken, but he wants to keep as many as possible, so he picks up one after another. Finally his hands are full, and he has to drop a broken shell or two to make room for a new broken shell, but he keeps going on and on. Finally, he finds the most beautiful shell, completely whole, but he doesn't have room in his hands. He is unwilling to drop his broken shells to pick up the one whole shell, so it stays on the beach, and the man walks away sad with regret.    Why do we pick up broken shells? What's your broken shell? Is it worry? Is it a broken memory from your past that you can't let go of? Is it an expired dream? A broken heart? Is it the notion that you can do it all? Sometimes I think I can fill my hands with 50 broken shells, and then I have to remind myself to keep an eye out for the shells that count, an...

Win With People

25 Ways to Win with People is a useful and motivating handbook written by John Maxwell and Les Parrott with practical advice on how to cultivate stronger relationships with other people. Whether we are creating more meaningful relationships with our spouse, a brother or sister in Christ, our children, or our coworkers, our time could never be spent on anything more important. It’s the easiest, most obvious and important priority to set.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 Doesn’t that just encourage you to know that YOU were created in Christ Jesus for good works, and you are HIS workmanship!? The same God that created the breathtaking sunsets, the awesome star sparkling night sky, and those sweet newborn baby blue eyes created YOU! You are precious.  In the same way, all of God’s people (past present and future) are precious. Understanding and realizing th...

8 Years of Blessings...and counting

Ordinary: Having a job Extraordinary: The opportunity to impact others (for 8 years!!) Ok, so I don't have a job. .....I have an opportunity to wake up (at 4:30 every morning) and go help other people be their best. So, I've been up to this for 8 years now. I worked in pharmacy, medical front office, vitamins, and now business management (in vitamins). One common thread- helping other people experience a better quality of life by enabling them to achieve their worthy goals naturally and passionately. What's my takeaway? You can have everything you need if you help enough other people get what they need. It's about contributing and helping others. It's not about me. It's about what I can do for YOU, or better yet, what we can do for them.    Teaching others to be helpful and useful is what I call- maximum impact. I love this about parenting, and I feel this way about business leadership. It's an opportunity to impact. It's a platform to live y...
