A spacious place

For 6 years we lived in a 1100 square feet house.  We moved there for a purpose, to pay off debt.

When we made that last student loan payment, and then the last bank loan payment, and then the last credit card payment, these were joyful times. We had made sacrifices in our living situation, but at least it was for a GOOD reason. We were tired of stacks of bills with nothing of value to balance them out, so we went gazelle intense for a few years and got rid of it.

There will always be some sort of bills or debt to pay, but now all of our debt has equity behind it, and we just say NO to credit cards.

The week after Christmas it feels so good that we didn't charge a cent. We paid all cash for everything we bought for Christmas (presents, food, traveling, etc), and had a very nice Christmas.

So, Christmas was also nice because it was our first Christmas in our new house. Ok, it's not new, but it's new for us.

The new house is wonderful because:
  • The kitchen is large
  • The cabinets are beautiful
  • The kitchen is just beautiful
  • The wood floors are pretty
  • The fireplace is pretty and a nice place for a picture
  • The bathrooms are bigger and the tile work is beautiful
  • Two car garage and no pooping birds.
  • It's closer to work
  • The yard is larger and great for kids that love to play outside
  • The girls got to stay at the same school
  • We got new couches and a new dining room table, and new washer and dryer with our profit from the "Little House".

The house selling/buying process was stressful, but God was there for us. We prayed, He answered.  Our stress was lowered. We sold quickly. We bought quickly.

So now, as we wrap up 2015 i can hardly believe that this year, we actually did it. Well, God did it. He moved us into a spacious place.

Psalm18:19
He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.
