Mountain Climbing
The small kids (including our youngest) and the SIL stayed at the base of the mountain while we went up. It was not a super hard mountain to climb, but it WAS a little bit challenging if it was your first mountain to climb and you had on bluejeans, trying to keep up with a few people that are WAY younger than you. My legs burned and I was out of breath. I kept going. The view got better and better. My shoes were also not ideal for the rocky path, but I kept going. It was a really fun experience to get to the top with the husband and one daughter, and a few friends. I will say though, that I was the most sore I've ever been in my life for the next 3 days, and I have done a few pretty intense workouts. The Fitbit ap said I climbed 77 floors. Nice!
This is me sucking wind and acting like I wasn't too tired.
Spring Break 2019 did not disappoint. We went to Arkansas to see the brother and sister in law that just build a new house on a hill with a WONDERFUL view of sun rises and sun sets. The weather was 100% perfect, and the kids (and us) all had so much fun playing on their acreage and going up the mountain. We even found a place called Pickles Gap that sells pickles just like my grandma used to make. Spicy and perfect.
